This project involved removing a very failed finish system and exposing a beautiful white oak floor underneath. The transformation also involved replacing all of the transitions and restoring the electric brass plate cover on the floor. A special thanks to Julia Magaro a.k.a. It was a pleasure bringing these Appalachian red oak floors back to life. The process involved replacing the dining room floor, repairing all of the damaged boards, removing and reinstalling all of the moldings, custom risers installed along with custom reducers and refinishing an oak table top. Kudos to Julia, Ms. Sandman, for all of her fine effort in sanding and finishing techniques! Onto the next wood floor challenge.
